Pastor and Men's Ministry Leader
Anthony Rudalf
Pastor Rudalf’s path to ministry led him through some deep valleys – but there he met Jesus as His Savior and best Friend. Loving and following Jesus allowed him to hear God’s calling him into full-time ministry and he accepted that challenge without any doubt that what God had started in him, He would complete. His passions for the youth (he has 3 of his own) and Community Service makes him a perfect fit for the Independence Church. He joined our Staff July 1, 2024 and since that time he started and leads our Men's Ministry, Youth Alive Ministry and assists several other ministries as Leader or Co-Leader. Pastor's passion is Evangelism - taking the Message of Jesus and His Soon Coming to a dying world. To this Mission, he devotes nearly all of his time. He also Pastor's the Kansas City Central Church, splitting his time between Independence and KC Central. He's extremely busy in Ministry.

Co-Pastor
Elique Semaboye
Pastor Elique Semaboye was assigned to Independence in 2025 to assist with Local Evangelism and Church Growth. He works along side of Pastor Rudalf to assist in helping to build up the Independence Church. He also pastors the Ububyutse Group, helping them to grow to full "Church" status in the Iowa-Missouri Conference. He is a kind, compassionate addition to our Staff and is loved by everyone.

Elder
Joseph (Joe) VonHolt
Joe has been an Adventist throughout his adult life, giving His life to Jesus when he was 23 years old. He is our “Welcome Ministry” leader, making sure everyone who comes through the door is acknowledged, encouraged and “hugged”. His team makes certain our visitors are well informed as to our “days events”. Joe is a Master Craftsman, has remodeled nearly every corner of our church, built our A/V Sound Booth and our Welcome Center. He is involved in giving Bible Studies in homes as requested.

Elder
David Fletcher
Dave grew up in the Adventist Faith and has remained a faithful member and leader since his youth. He currently serves as an Elder, but also ministers through the A/V Ministry and working with Pathfinders. He teaches Sabbath School occasionally and preaches. He has worked for Advent Health for most of his adult life.

Elder & Director of VOP Bible Correspondence School
Daniel Delkersonn
Daniel is an ordained Elder, started our Bible Correspondence School, trained 16 members in the art of working with correspondence students and continues to follow up with several students himself. Daniel sings with our Praise Team and is a very busy father of 2 children. He and his wife, Jenny, are extremely talented in keeping our sanctuary "dressed" for every season. Both Daniel and Jenny have hearts to serve and do whatever is needed to assist our church in spiritual growth.

Church Administrator and Treasurer
Beverly (Bev) VonHolt
Bev joined the Adventist Church in her early 20’s and has been a faithful active part of each church she has belonged to. She currently serves as our Church Administrator (over church board agendas, website, worship service, ministry organization, Bible Correspondence School and "special events") and Treasurer. She teaches a “Building Faith” Sabbath School Class and preaches occasionally.

Church Clerk
Teresa Johnson
Teresa joined our staff in 2025 and has been an excellent addition, keeping accurate records for board and business meetings, handling all membership transfers and recording baptisms, membership additions through professions of faith, baby dedications and other note-worthy events occurring within our church. She leads a small group which meets at the church on Wednesday's at 6:30 PM. Teresa has a heart to serve and has filled her position of Church Clerk with detailed precision and accuracy.

Sabbath School Superintendent and Church Secretary
Karen Beaver
A life-long Adventist, Karen was educated in our schools and has worked throughout her life in many different positions. She is currently responsible for ordering Sabbath School supplies and prepares our weekly bulletins. She is a member of our Praise Team, Prayer Team and has volunteered to be a Bible School instructor.

Head Deacon
Mark McIntosh
Mark joined our Leadership Team in 2024 as Head Deacon after serving as a Deacon for many years, and has done an outstanding job in every capacity of his ministry. He faithfully keeps tithe envelopes and prayer requests in our chair pockets for easy use. He is responsible for making sure "everything is alright" upstairs and down. He fills the baptism tank making sure the temperature is just right for baptisms. Mark is diligent at his tasks and leaves nothing undone if he sees a need.

Women's Ministry Leader
Lucy Rudalf
Lucy joined our staff in 2025 and has successfully started and leads our Women's Ministry which meets every 4th Sunday at the church from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Lucy is our Pastor's wife and she works along side of him to help our church to grow both physically and spiritually. Lucy teaches school as an Elementary Educator at Summit View Elementary School in Lee's Summit, MO. She is a great steward of her time as she gives tirelessly to her family of 5, her classroom children and her church. We are very thankful for her servants heart.
