Connect With Others and Find Strength!

When it comes to growing in your faith, few things are more powerful than a small group of fellow Christians with whom you can pray, study, and fellowship. Small Groups are an important ministry at Independence Seventh-day Adventist Church. These groups of 8-10 people meet in various homes throughout the Independence and Kansas City area each Wednesday evening. During this time, the groups discuss a specific Bible study lesson for the week and share prayer requests with one another. Independence Seventh-day is a relationship-driven church, and there's no better way to build relationships than through the small group ministry.

Three Reasons You Should Get Involved in Small Groups

There are many ways in which small group involvement will benefit your relationships with others and with God. Three primary reasons small group involvement is important include:

Small groups will help you understand the Bible better by getting more in-depth into Scripture study with your fellow group members. In addition, small groups give you the opportunity to build more intimate friendships with others in the congregation. And, when life deals you good times and bad times, you will have a close knit group of Christians to celebrate, grieve, cope, and endure with.

Women's & Men's Ministries

In addition to small groups, Independence Seventh-day Adventist offers Bible study opportunities in comfortable, gender-specific settings. With the church's women's and men's ministries, fellowship and study opportunities are offered once a month.

The Men's Ministry meet the 2nd Monday evening of each month. The Women's Ministry meets the 3rd Saturday evening of each month. These ministries are just one more way you can get involved and grow at Independence Seventh-day Adventist!
